Step 1
Decide whether you require double or triple skin domes or pyramids.
Step 2
Decide whether you require all skins to be clear or whether you require the inner skin to be obscure.
Step 3
If you are having a warm roof construction then you might consider that good `codes of practice’ would suggest that the top of the waterproofed kerb or upstand should be at least 150mm above the finished roof surface (a 300mm high kerb available upon request).
Please remember that the sizes quoted are the finished roof opening sizes e.g. a 750x750mm would require a finished roof opening size of 750x750mm. See our attached diagram for assistance.
Please also remember that these kerbs or upstands will need to externally, waterproofed with traditional bitumen roofing materials, torch applied bitumen products, roofing grade asphalt or adhered single ply materials. If you have another material of choice please contact our office for advice and/or alternatives.
Step 4
Decide whether you require either the manual hinged opening or the electrical hinged opening or the access hatch option (limited sizes for the access hatch are available via the website – contact our office for advice and/or alternatives) or none of the above.
This option can be used with either of the 150mm or the 300mm (if required) high kerbs.
See our attached diagram for assistance.
The important thing to remember is that we are here to help. If you are not quite sure what your correct options or requirements are then please contact our office for advice and/or alternatives. We don’t want you ordering the wrong product, wanting to return it and then incurring both restocking and pick up charges.
